DC Motor

ITEMS NEEDED

  • 104 capacitor

  • DC Motor (5-5,9V)

  • Female Connector

    2 x
  • Heat Shrink Tubing

    Electrical Tape

  • Electric Cable

    Ethernet Cable

HOW TO ASSEMBLE

DC motors are used in a wide variety of toys and electronics, from remote controlled cars to toy fans.

Just as we did with other modules, we recommend using hot glue above the solder, to make it more drawn resistant. Do it on both sides, motor and connector.

If the motor is running by leaps or locking, it might be that kit’s energy is too low for it, in which case, the motor isn’t fit for the kit. But the problem might as well be caused by electric noise. To prevent noise, install a capacitor. 104 capacitor we recommend is not polarized, that is, you don’t need to choose which pin goes on positive and which goes on negative.

The capacitor might as well be installed at the connectors (image above) or at the motor’s base (image below), whatever is easier when soldering.
